AAMI Park voted the best pitch by players

AAMI Park has been voted the venue of choice for football, following a recent survey of A-League players.

In a survey conducted by Professional Footballers Australia, AAMI Park was voted as having the best quality pitch in the league, earning a 4.7 out of 5 rating.

The result is a fantastic outcome for the Stadium, which hosted home matches for Melbourne Victory, Melbourne City and Western United throughout the season, several finals, and the thrilling A-League Men’s Grand Final.

The atmosphere in AAMI Park was also voted the best, with Melbourne Victory fans singled out as providing the best atmosphere throughout the 2021/22 season.

The survey results are an excellent endorsement for the venue, which is due to host matches at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Stadium will host four group-stage fixtures, including one with the Matildas, and two matches during the round-of-16.

Congratulations to all staff who have worked at AAMI Park throughout the football season – your hard work has allowed the venue to shine.
