AAMI Park was the place to be for rugby fans in April, with the venue playing host to the inaugural Super Round.
Over the course of three days, fans were treated to six world-class rugby matches, including a thrilling Super W Grand Final, which saw Fijiana Drua triumph over NSW Waratahs.
Over 30,000 fans enjoyed the spectacle over the ANZAC long weekend, enjoying the opportunity to not only cheer on their teams, but also see many of the world’s best players in action.
Super Round Melbourne saw the Trans-Tasman rivalry reach new heights, with all six matches featuring teams from both sides of the Tasman.
While the on-field action was the main event, there were plenty of activities off the field to keep fans entertained.
A pop-up food and beverage outlet gave fans the opportunity to sample some classic New Zealand street food, while warm-up sessions on Gosch’s Paddock allowed fans to see their favourite stars up close.
And the fun isn’t over yet for rugby fans, with AAMI Park due to host the Melbourne Rebels for the remainder of the season.
