A-Leagues

AAMI Park is home to Melbourne City FC who first joined the A-League at the start of the 2010-11 season under their founding brand, Melbourne Heart.

In 2014 the team was purchased by the City Football Group and subsequently re-branded to Melbourne City.

The club has played all their A-League Men’s home games out of AAMI Park since 2010, and in 2021 claimed its first Men’s Championship in front of 15,000 fans.

The Melbourne City A-League Women’s team is one of the most successful in the competition’s history and holds the record for the most consecutive championships, with victories in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020.
