Upgrades underway at AAMI Park

Change is afoot at AAMI Park, with upgrade works underway ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™.

The venue will host six matches during this year’s tournament, including a group-stage fixture featuring the Matildas.

Funded by the Victorian Government, the upgrades are set to deliver exciting benefits to players and fans, and include:

  • Two new, curved videoboards – significantly larger than their predecessors and the first of their kind in Australia.
  • Introduction of state-of-the-art LED sports light technology in light towers and under the roof canopy.
  • Replacement of static advertising and wayfinding boards with LED technology.
  • Improvements to player facilities, and reconfiguration and upgrades to broadcast and corporate hospitality areas.

Works have commenced, with the southwest videoboard currently decommissioned. Once the new video board is installed in this location, the northeast video board will be decommissioned and replaced.

Additionally, works have commenced in select bays in the Level 3 seating bowl, resulting in some relocation of member seating which will be communicated via the relevant tenant club.

We apologise for any inconvenience experienced on event day, but look forward to our guests having the opportunity to enjoy the upgrades once complete.
